Regional Bicycle Share Program (Knight Cycle)
Rutgers University, together with North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) and New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is implementing a public regional bike share program. Program implementation will be funded through a $1.1 million grant from New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) through the Regional Transportation Alternatives Program (RTAP). The program will initiate a 350-unit regional smart bicycle share system that would be open to the public and serve the university community, New Brunswick, Piscataway, Highland Park and the Edison and New Brunswick Train Stations.
The University understands that gathering community input is essential to a successful regional bicycle share program. This website will provide program updates, notices of public information centers, and opportunities to provide your feedback to ensure a successful program.
